These roses are actually growing from a bush in next door's garden, but they have grown so tall that they have "climbed" over to us. They have the most amazing scent. I wish I could bottle it !
These are the roses in front of my icons at the moment and gracing the room with their fragrance !

Wow! That's so gorgeous, I love most flowers, but roses have a special place in my heart.
Lovely. Enjoyed reading these last posts.
Sorry to hear of your brother's continued struggles and the weariness of caring for broken technology...
I love roses too and it is so special to have them by one's icon corner. My love to you and small prayers.
I love the smell of roses and jasmine and honeysuckle in the morning. Unfortunately we can't seem to grow them in our yard in the heat here. I was just at St. John's monastery and they had roses blooming. Yum.
When we moved into our home 4 years ago I planted 7 rose bushes in the front yard (all of them the good smelling kind). Part was in honor of my grandpa who loved to grow roses and spent a lot of time on his roses (Portland,OR is the City of Roses:) and part because I love to go outside an cut a few rosebuds and place them in vases around the house so that we have that lovely smell inside, too:)
Beautiful. And wonderful photo of DD4 as well.
Pluck the petals when they are fresh. Put them in a jar with a lid on and see if the scent is captured as they dry out. You could probably use them as a sachet or something nice like that.
