I was saddened to hear the news of the approaching death of Pope John Paul II.
Before I became Orthodox, I was a very High-Church Anglican, and when the Pope visited Britain in the early 1980`s, lots of folk from our Church joined up with the local RC parish to hire coaches to go see him.
I was one of them .
May God grant him a peaceful ending to his life, and mercy to his soul.
