The old part of the town is largely within very sturdy medieval walls.
The main entrance is through the "Five Arches"......
so-called for obvious reasons :-)
Looking through the arches, you see the touristy shops ......
.... and looking back, even the town walls are no defence from the invading hordes of visitors !

That is really neat! We don't have anything like that in the US, for obvious reasons :)
