Fuzzy Christmas Lights ?

What do you think of this tree in a town centre ? Has it been decorated with Christmas lights which are fizzling out ?

No.

The whole tree is filled with hundreds of stunningly pretty little pied wagtails !
I regularly see theses cute little birds in twos or threes, but have never, ever seen them in a flock.
I was so thrilled to see these photos on the Daily Mail website.

That's so beautiful! My grandmother always put little stuffed birds as decorations on her Christmas tree...she dearly loved her birds!

Several species of birds flock together in winter only. Then the separate into couples in spring and throughout the breeding season.

American Robins do this, and a whole, huge flock of them regularly picks my giant holly tree clean of every speck of red in a day or two, long before Christmas.
