An Historic Church Part 3

The grave stone of a Norman knight, now vertical.




A very nice wooden statue of Our Lady of Walsingham in the niche above the South Door, where once upon a time a wood mounted copy of an icon of the Forerunner stood.




The original stone Piscina. or Holy Water stoup, which is still used for its intended purpose.

Lovely church photos! Old churches are so precious... so many prayers prayed in them...

I love also the place for Holy Water...

I've loved looking at these photos. Definitely looks like many of the churches we were fortunate to see while in England.

The hammerbeam roof in particular is glorious; and the grave stone interesting in its orientation.
