My brother has improved considerably over the last few days.
He remains very ill, is bed-bound and is likely to be in hospital for at least another fortnight, according to the latest updates, which is incredible in itself considering the doctor did not think he would survive the night on Saturday night......
The prognosis remains dismal, short of a miracle or a transplant, but at least he is now alert, oriented, enjoying having visitors, cracking jokes and listening to his Ipod.
He now has some quality of life back, for which God be praised.
