Declining Bird Population

In the Daily Telegraph today, there is an article about British wildlife in danger. Apparently, the country`s house sparrow population has reduced by over 50% in the last 25 years.

Not in our garden !
We have a large bird feeder, which we are currently re-filling every single day with seed, and which is the magnet for a flock of sparrows which stay in our garden and next door`s garden, and which number 12 to 20 birds at any given time of day :-)

Starlings are a different kettle of fish. As equally declining in numbers as the sparrow, I have never seen a starling in our garden, or even in this part of Blogsville.....
