Elderly Nuns Murdered in Greece

The BBC news site has just reported that two elderly Orthodox nuns were murdered at their remote convent, Dormition of the Virgin near Astros, 80 miles away from Athens.
It is believed that the thieves stole a cross containing a relic of the True Cross.

Lord have mercy......may the Nuns` Memories be Eternal.

Memory eternal!

And, Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy.

How sad! Sad for the nuns and sad for the loss of innocence in remote Greek monasteries. I wish they had published their names, but memory be eternal! My family in Greece has had to lock up our family church because of tourists that would steal the icons. My family took out the old, antique icons and put in cheaper, new icons and a padlock on the door to keep tourists out.

I Googled every news article on it and couldn't find their names, but God knows them.

May their memory be eternal.

I'll restrain myself from imprecatory prayers on the thieves/murders, but only just.
