Prayers at Walsingham

If any of you would like prayers to be said for you and your loved ones at the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, it is now possible to request this online :-)

I have a great fondness for Walsingham, where there is a strong Orthodox presence.
I dearly love the little Orthodox chapel upstairs in the Shrine Church, and the Russian Church of St Seraphim in the village.

As a youngster I was privileged to make several pilgrimages there with the Anglican parish which I then attended, and several times an an adult.
We hope to visit the Shrine in person in October this year, God willing.
I have so much to thank God for !

I, too, love Walshingham. OLW is about the only toe-hold the Theotokos has in my devotional list. I don't know if that makes sense. But I was *very* happy to find her icons around and to find them Orthodox: because most fo the Russian and Greek "famous" icons just don't have the same level of well... cultural importance.

Now... if only Knock in Ireland...
