Ah, bliss !
Have been to Confession, been relieved of my burdens, been given a blessing to receive Communion today and attended the Liturgy.
Our priest served a Molieben of Thanksgiving for Abigail`s safe recovery from surgery, and my precious god-daughter was visiting as well.
And my DH spent most of the Liturgy in Church with us, rather than just popping in at the end to venerate the Cross and receive the Antidoron.
I wish you could see the smile on my face !
God is *sooo* good to me.
If only my dear god-mother was able to be with us, instead of being in hospital, my joy would have been nearly complete........
but nevertheless, Glory to God for all things !

Elizabeth,
Good on you! I have question. No jurisdictional nonsense, just asking. You mentioned receiving a blessing to take Communion. Is this a weekly thing for y'all? I mean, do you go to confession each week so that you can take Communion the following day? Or is the blessing 'good' until the next confession? Again, just curious. :)
Hi Jim
The blessing is good till the next Confession, or until I feel that a particular issue has cropped up which needs priestly advice. I ask for a blessing to receive the Holy Mysteries as a pious custom which I love, as it helps me to submit my self-will and analysis of my spiritual state to the Church through my spiritual father.
I go to Confession maybe every 6 to 12 weeks, I aim to get to Liturgy once a month thanks to the kind willingness of my non-O husband to drive me and the children to church.
(We don`t have Liturgy every week as our priest commutes between two areas)
We live a fair distance from church, the public transport is poor, , and I don`t drive, so my appearance at Liturgy can be sporadic, depending also on health issues.
If we lived closer, I would be going to every service.
love to all in the Nee household !
